Who would have ever thought that a group of several hundred teenagers would care about eternity? Who would have dreamed that they would willingly sit through hours of teaching about the reality and implications of eternity, heaven and hell and what it means to worship God with an eternal perspective? And who would have predicted that they would respond with careful thought, conviction and repentance that would lead to an increase of passion and love for their God? What a blessing that many of our kids were faces in the crowd at Youth Camp 2012 being affected by the Spirit of the Living God!

But as surprising as this might be in light of the culture we live in, we really shouldn't be surprised because the Spirit of God is alive and actively calling people everywhere (including kids) to the Truth; the Truth that reveals that we all deserve death and punishment for eternity because of our sin; the Truth that proclaims the eternal plan of God to rescue us from the grip of sin; the Truth that is a person, Jesus Christ, who became our Substitute, Redeemer and Champion. This Truth is the power of God unto salvation and the hope of the world. And this Truth is at work in the hearts and lives of our children. Is there anything that we could be more grateful for? Let's continue to stoke the fire that the Lord has started in their hearts.
