II. Relational [v.2-5] = John 15:13 -"friends", Romans 8:17 -"fellow heirs with Christ"
A. Loving our spiritual children = [those we have helped mature in the faith.]
1. Graciously
2. Mercifully
3. Peacefully
B. Thanking our eternal God
1. Submissively - "serve"
2. Traditionally - "ancestors"
3. Sincerely - "clear conscience"
4. Mindfully - "remember"
5. Constantly - "constantly"
6. Prayerfully - "prayers"
C. Remembering our emotional connections
1. Tearfully - "tears"
2. Longingly - "long"
3. Joyfully - "joy"
4. Faithfully - "faith" - a. Grandmotherb. Mother
III. Spiritual [v.6-7] = I Corinthians 2:11 - "spirit" - human spirit + Holy Spirit[v. 14]
A. Unwisely neglected by Timothy -"I remind you to fan the flame"
B. Graciously gifted by God - "gift of God" = [ministry - "holy calling" v.9]
C. Reverently identified by Paul - "laying on of my hands"
D. Purposefully called by God - "for God gave us"
